Happy BIG CHOP Anniversary!!

SO its been a year now since I took the leap and did my BIG CHOP!! AHHHHHHHH! I still remember back to that day. Even though I would like to forget sometimes that it ever happened- it did and it changed me forever. This year has been and up and down and sometimes stagnant roller coaster ride for me on a physical and mental basis. I have learned so much about my hair and most importantly- MYSELF.

Needless to say, I have not been very active on here or any other social media sites. Ive totally fell off with updating but lets just say that Ive gotten a bit of motivation in the past few weeks and IM BACK. And Im back with a totally different vision and direction for this site. Please stay tuned for a major revamp and maybe even a name change in the very near future. Ive come to the conclusion that life is way too short to not do what you want. There is no certain niche that you have to stay in. No lane- Pave your own. And thats exactly what I intend to do.

In the meantime, I am going to continue blogging, reblogging, FB’ing (yea…that) and IG’ing (and that..) about everything Pretty and Natural. Whether the changes are subtle or suddenly, Im hoping that each of you (yes I still see the steady stream of visitors each day- THANK YOU!) stick along for this ride.

Until next time,

PEACE.

A Change in Texture

hair chart

Since going back natural, I have read that sometimes your hair can change in texture. Just as soon as I was getting used to being a cool 4C. I discovered that its actually changing into more of a 3C/4A/4C with a couple of annoying 2A pieces in there. Im not too certain on whether this has something to do with my change in regimen or my experiment with new products but I may as well embrace it!

Whats your hair type or types? And have you been experiencing any changes? Please share!

My Pretty Natural

Ive been wanting to get back into writing for awhile. And Ive been putting it off for years. Ive started books, blogs, short stories, poems and digital magazines. My problem- The follow through.

So after I decided to do the Big Chop ( we’ll discuss that deeper later) in August of this year, I was constantly reading natural haircare blogs and watching YouTube tutorials. Pretty much searching for the best possible way to grow my hair back the quickest and healthiest way that I could. Ive come to find that every hair journey is different. And If I wanted to grow mine- It would have to be through trial and error and doing it my way!

Im starting this blog to document MY natural haircare journey and the steps Im taking to grow a full and healthy mane! And share my love for all things pretty and natural.

Join me for this journey!
