Bored With Your Hair?

Ive been there. Im probably in that place now. Ok. For certain Im in that place now. Ive mastered the art of keeping my hair moisturized and have perfected my sleep regimen. I have an abundance of products- some of which I have not opened. Ive tried every style in my now a little bit longer than an TWA fro and yet Im still bored!

For the past week Ive been rocking a twist out and figured that I would just let my hair do what it wants to do. And guess what? Its working! Who says that you have to style it everyday. I dont have time for it. I have teetered on the line of maybe getting it chopped into a tapered cut. But on the other hand- I want to get braids again.

All in all, Im figuring on just letting my hair does what it wants to do. Low manipulation, twist outs, water and oil. Thats it. Not to mention these prenatal vitamins are without a doubt aiding in the growth process!

While searching on YouTube, I found a cute tutorial on some easy styles for short natural hair (since Ive passed the TWA stage-Yipee!)

Embrace YOUR Textured Journey!

Ive touched on this topic before in 5 Things to Consider Before You Decide To Do the BIG CHOP!. But I see alot of people who comment on my Instagram page and lots of others about how they cant wait until their hair gets to a certain length. Its great to be inspired and aspire because that is what this blog is all about. But to be honest, having natural hair and maintaining it is a lot of work. And if you’re a natural then you know this is true!

I dont know about everyone else but Im enjoying every bit of my texture and every bit of each stage. I have found the perfect oil to keep it moisturized during the day and I have FINALLY mastered the art of PROPER detangling. I love trying out new products to see what works for me and experimenting with new ways to style my TWA. I CAN wait to reach that lengthy stage because in all actuality I feel as if Ill be learning my hair all over again. And its taken me almost a year to perfect this stage. LOL

Im saying all this to say-Embrace YOUR Textured Journey. Learn what works for you hair and perfect a regimen thas good for you.

Peace!

Ancient Secrets Hair Oil

So I was introduced to this product through my inspiration to revert back to me natural state, Diggz.

See her video below!

This video made me quite the believer in the product. And I just had to have some. So quickly after I did my Big Chop, I signed up for a regular monthly shipment of this MAGIC Oil. It came rather quickly and I was able to converse back and forth through mail with the creator of the oil before its arrival. Truth is, she had been using it for years! But decided to finally share it with the public a few years ago.

My hair has never felt so great! I use it twice it day; Once in the morning and then again before I go to bed. I believe that with this product in conjunction with my biotin pills is what has helped my hair grow a total of 5 inches (yes 5!!) in the last 4 months. Im extremely grateful to the CEO for sharing this awesome potion with us and for continuing to have great customer service.

My Pretty Natural

Ive been wanting to get back into writing for awhile. And Ive been putting it off for years. Ive started books, blogs, short stories, poems and digital magazines. My problem- The follow through.

So after I decided to do the Big Chop ( we’ll discuss that deeper later) in August of this year, I was constantly reading natural haircare blogs and watching YouTube tutorials. Pretty much searching for the best possible way to grow my hair back the quickest and healthiest way that I could. Ive come to find that every hair journey is different. And If I wanted to grow mine- It would have to be through trial and error and doing it my way!

Im starting this blog to document MY natural haircare journey and the steps Im taking to grow a full and healthy mane! And share my love for all things pretty and natural.

Join me for this journey!
